In a nutshell. This is how it works...
Vulcan is a chemical-free water treatment system that alters limescale crystals to reduce their adhesive power. It doesn't alter the chemical composition of the water. The system is installed outside the pipe. No pipe cutting needed if enough pipe space is available for fitting the system.
Vulcan treats water with electric impulses generated and controlled by a computerized micro-chip. Alternating signal-frequencies are transmitted via the copper impulse bands that are wrapped around the pipe. The Vulcan bands have a 97% transmission efficiency and interact as pairs to form a frequency-field that changes the shape of mineral crystals in the water as it flows by.

- Vulcan Patented Impulse Technology modifies the chaotic crystal structure of calcium and magnesium crystals, preventing them from sticking together. Limescale is washed away as a fine powder, stopping new deposits from forming. Vulcan produces high quality rod-shaped crystals for better limescale-prevention than any other system.
- Mono-crystals created through Vulcan's impulse variation grow longer and stronger before entering the piping system. Larger crystals take more time to disintegrate. In warm water, crystals grow faster, resulting in increased strength and lifespan of the mono-crystals. The effects on Vulcan in water last from two to seven days depending on water temperature.

Vacuum Encapsulated Solid State Circuitry
The vacuum tight acrylic cast ensures that the circuit board is protected from exposure to temperature fluctuations and other contaminants. The parts are fixed in place and can not move. This guarantees the electronic control board may be installed in extremely hot areas with outdoor temperature up to 122 °F or in very cold temperatures down to -13°F. The most common malfunction cause in electronic devices is heat. The thick acrylic vacuum cast prevents heat production. This “cooling” of the unit ensures a 30 year life expectancy.
